Not only is it wedding season these days, it’s wedding album season as well. The time of year where I work my butt off to deliver all of my 2009 client wedding albums before I become totally immersed in the 2010 wedding season. So there seem to be albums arriving practically every week. I figured why not share them here. Today’s is another Queensberry Album, this time a slightly more traditional matted book with a sleek, black leather cover. This one is for Alexandra & Jim, you might remember their beautiful, elegant wedding at The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington DC last September. I think it’s so important that each album be a unique representation of that couple and their special day together. For this reason, we don’t use any templates or standard designs or covers. Each album is unique, each album is one-of-a-kind. And each album is designed to stand the test of time.

I had a brand new client album come in last week and I just had to take a moment to share a few images. This one is a Queensberry Duo Album which I did for Kristan and Steve. I’ve been using Queensberry albums since I got into this business way back in 2003. Every year (for 8 years now) I head to the WPPI trade show in Vegas to make sure they are still the finest albums in the world…and they have never let me down. There are more and more album companies popping up all over the place these days but it always concerns me when I see wedding albums floating around out there that look like the pages might crease or the books might just fall apart any second. The craftsmanship of these babies is just unparalleled in this business as far as I’m concerned and the printing is exquisite.

My favorite type of album which Queensberry offers (with the exception of a brand new product which I’ll post about later) is the duo album which is basically a hybrid of the matted and the flush-mount album. It blends a clean classic look seamlessly with contemporary flair. I love it, it is just stunning. I’m so glad that Kristan & Steve thought so too. And there is just nothing more gorgeous to me than a clean, white mat. Have I mentioned that I love white & minimalism? A quick peek around my website will prove it. So here are a few pictures.

We went with a buckram cover in mint with the couple’s first names blind embossed onto the cover.
